Elizabeth Showers Jewelry

Elizabeth’s creative ways were tempered significantly during her teenage years as she struggled with an eating disorder. She fortunately entered recovery from anorexia at age 20, and soon after rediscovered her creative passion through jewelry-making classes. Elizabeth soon started selling semi-precious beaded jewels to friends, then formally launched her jewelry business. Shortly after the launch of her company, Elizabeth introduced her first major collection at Neiman Marcus stores and many independent retailers around the country. A few years later, Elizabeth began to realize her purpose in life was to help empower all women to feel beautiful inside and out, and her jewelry designs could be the vehicle to help her spread this message. As a result, Elizabeth created her star company logo and named it the “Hope Star” a symbol which she places on almost all of her jewelry to serve as a reminder for women to feel beautiful every day.
Elizabeth continues to be inspired through her exposure to other cultures, music, movies, animals and wildlife, her friends and family, and just simply beautiful colors and forms all around us and especially in nature.
Since its debut, Elizabeth’s 18kt gold collection has been defined by richly colored gemstones and classic feminine designs. In the Spring of 2010, Elizabeth launched a sterling silver collection, Elizabeth Showers Silver, which is also characterized by bold strokes of color in her choice of gemstones. With a variety of jewelry lines in a range of price points, Elizabeth hopes to reach as many people as possible with her “feel beautiful” message.
Today Elizabeth is an ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) and The Elisa Project, both of which are eating disorder prevention and recovery organizations. Elizabeth is and has been involved in other charities and organizations such as TWO x TWO benefitting amfAR and the Dallas Museum of Art, the North Texas Food Bank’s Food for Kids program, and The Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
Elizabeth is driven to design by her creative eye and strong desire to empower women to feel good about themselves ; her jewelry has become the medium for this journey and message.
