LIGHTfaKtor’s hot After Party -Austin Fashion Awards 2012

LIGHTfaktor presented the 2012 Austin Fashion Award’s  official after party on Saturday night, August 18. Austin fashion week predicted a “VIP after party unlike Austin has never seen before”.  The after party’s location, at the base of Silicon Laboratories high rise, had been kept a secret, up until the night of the event. Down town Austin was summer-heated, humid, and pouring rain that night, but driving down Cesar Chavez, you could not miss the brilliant glow of LED lights shining out, raising excitements.  Texas Supermodel’s attended the event; and inside models were styled with LED Fabrics; hanging from the ceiling was fiber-optic threads, video projection mapping on the walls, and and an epic runway stage. The talent between the DJs, entertainment, and fashion were original and all the acts were unique and unforgettable.

Overlooking the air conditioning problem proved to break the party up early. Which is a shame, because with so much beauty, talent and free food & drinks, you really could not have gone wrong.  The humidity had men soaked in sweat, women fanning themselves with any paper they could find. The party cleared out shortly after the entertainment had finished… by about 12:30am the bartenders had complementary drinks ready to be served, but no one was in line at the bar. Brian Dewey’s mobile studio (a celebrity styled RV parked in front) and the W hotel, seemed to be where most of the party migrated to find air conditioning and finish up celebrating.

Great party concept, awesome entertainment, amazing sponsors, a successful awards ceremony, finishing up a wonderful week in fashion.
-Thank you LIGHTfaktor
